Although primarily a lichenologist, bryologist and higher plant botanist, Simon Davey does undertake broad-based ecological surveys. These surveys may be specialist undertakings for Natural England, Countryside Council for Wales or Scottish Natural Heritage. He also undertakes surveys which are designed to give conservation advice as well as assessment of areas proposed for development.
